Drawn into Group E, USWNT Kicks Off Against Vietnam

The United States women's national soccer team (USWNT) is set to begin their quest for a fifth World Cup title this summer. Drawn into Group E, the USWNT will face off against Vietnam, the Netherlands, and Portugal in the group stage.

The USWNT's first match will be against Vietnam on July 22nd. The team will then face the Netherlands on July 27th and Portugal on August 1st. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Round of 16.

The USWNT is the defending World Cup champion, having won the title in 2019. The team is also the most successful women's team in World Cup history, having won the tournament four times.

The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup will be the ninth edition of the tournament. It will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand from July 20th to August 20th.
