Lakers Denver Game 3

Nuggets Defeat Lakers in Game 3, Move to Brink of Sweep

Strong Fourth Quarter Secures Victory

Denver, Colorado - The Denver Nuggets clinched a crucial victory in Game 3 of their Western Conference Semifinals matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, holding on for a 114-106 win.

The Nuggets entered the fourth quarter with a 14-point lead, but the Lakers fought back with a surge of energy. With under five minutes remaining, Los Angeles had narrowed the gap to just four points.

However, Denver responded with a decisive 13-0 run, snuffing out the Lakers' comeback attempt. Nikola Jokić led the way for the Nuggets with 30 points and 10 rebounds, while Jamal Murray added 21 points and 5 assists.

Nuggets on Verge of Sweep

With the victory, the Nuggets now hold a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. A win in Game 4 would secure their first sweep of a playoff series since 2019 and send them to the Western Conference Finals.

Lakers Face Elimination

For the Lakers, the loss puts them on the brink of elimination. They will need to win Game 4 in Denver to avoid being swept. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 30 points and 12 rebounds in Game 3, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Nuggets' strong finish.
